Quincy will run the wing all day long & cause all sorts of problems for the opposition as he did against Blackpool for the short minutes he was on.

Yet against Doncaster and I think it was Norwich away..........he was a non-entity........you didn't even know he was playing.......infact his only act of aggression in the two games combined, was to throw a paddy at being substituted...........so I'm not sure where this "all day long" bit comes from.......a case of people only seeing and remembering what suits them.

I agree - Agustien didn't do anything wrong on Saturday but was still taken off (when it was McSheffrey who had done nothing).

But let's just concentrate on the 'stretching of the play'. Surely people must agree that we're playing far too narrow!

Why?.......because you say so?.........like proffessionals, you're not always right you know!

lol you have far too much time on your hands.

Its AM's job to pick the team and his much more qualified than anyone on this forum to do it.

ok, well thanks for your useless input.

how about we shut the message board down, because I'm sure there's more qualified people to discuss any topic on here.

I'm just saying that if we played a wider game, then we'd probably reap more rewards. Professional people don't get it right all the time you know.

:LMAO:

Agreed as you just proved by puling two games out where he was quiet?

Long term .........he will.......... cause problems as his ..............performance against Blackpool on the right wing showed.

Anyway back........... on topic your choice................ for formation to stop playing so centrally is?

Amazing, if you spent less time on being some sort of "three card" and trying to belittle people, I'd take more notice. I sometimes write in that particular way, as we have members on the board who maybe struggle with reading and it helps break the sentences up for them. If you care to point out out where I have interjected them willy-nilly in the middle of sentences, thus rendering them barely readable, then I will bow to your ultimate knowledge and apologise.

However, I digress. I don't happen to exactly believe that width is the be-all and end-all of our problems. I believe a long term problem down Blues is the inability to pick players in their correct posistions and to play a settled side. I don't believe Quincy is the sort of player we neither afford to accomodate or should be even investing time in. I believe he thinks he is much bigger than the club and the other players and would rather we spent our money on somebody else. He has done nothing but score a great goal against Wycombe since he arrived and his ten or fifteen minute cameo against Blackpool has done nothing to impress me.

I also believe Seb became player of the season whilst playing as a right winger/midfielder, so our esteemed manager plays him in the middle? We bought Jerome as one of the most feared strikers outside the top flight, our esteemed manager sees him as a right winger?

So there you have it, my thoughts on it................let me know when you've marked it :banghead:

tell you what....

stretching the play with murphy and parnaby offering for the ball short, then attacking down the wings got us two goals today.

The first initiated Quincy's run and chip to McFadden and again (although inadvertently) won us a throw from which Quincy scored his volley.

Also, although we gave the ball away a bit too much, at least we were trying to play the ball along the deck out of defence rather than hoofing it long.

Much improved performance against Cardiff, we looked a lot more likely to score...and guess what - we did!

Will it was a great topic mate & i think what you refereed to has been proved today.

Quincy as suggested ran the wings and cut in well whilst McFadden proved its his best position in the central "free" role not out on the wing.

No matter what you suggest though there will be elements on this message board that'll not be happy unless we are owned by billionaires, were at the top of the Premier league, winning games by at least 3 goals, are managed by Alex Ferguson & have a team of players that make no mistakes & are perfect in the position they are picked to play in.

it's because the inefficient blues publicity department has not communicated the fact to all the right media outlets.
